Kneeling at the cross,
staring at the glass of water before me.
So many thoughts racing through my head,
I felt as though an explosion, was mere seconds away.
Then I heard, a most beautiful sound,
the sound of a small thunk on my left.
I opened my eyes and turned my head,
and there he was, kneeling beside me, smiling.
There were stars in his eyes,
as I saw the reflection of what I had said.
Then I heard another small thunk,
this time on my right.
I turned again,
and there she was, kneeling beside me, also smiling.
She grabbed my hand,
then so did he.
More tears came,
tears of gratitude, tears of love.
Tears of joy, tears of healing,
tears of hope, tears of tomorrow.
The whole trip was amazing,
a great faith experience.
But to you, Jared, I write this thank you,
for that small act,
meant and still means more than I could ever write in words.
